The Gato Audio DPA-2506 is a 6 channel flexible power amplifier, that offers unparalleled power and performance in the smallest and most beautiful package.
 
Pure Muscle!
The DPA-2506 offers no less than 6x250W in 8ohm load, doubling in 4ohm. Each pair of channels are bridgeable – enabling this fully configurable powerhouse to be used for either multichannel setups, active systems or for bi-amping speakers.
This amplifier is the obvious choice for the Gato Audio PRD-3S preamplifier/DAC, but is also very suitable as a workhorse for the integrated amplifiers DIA-250S and DIA-400S – offering even more channels and flexibility.
For multichannel systems it will serve as a slave for a surround processor perhaps in combination with a PRD-3S, DIA-250S or DIA-400S enabling their Home Theatre setting.
 
Class-D Output Stage
The DPA-2506 amplifier offers three state of the art Class-D output stages each with dedicated and optimized switch mode power supplies. The multiple stage power amplifiers are built around proven technology from International Rectifier, optimized with precision high frequency oscillators and PWM modulators. Precision switching MOS-FET transistors, with super low on-resistance ensures the high frequency switching is done perfectly and with as little loss as possible. The output filters are made from quality PP capacitors and low DCR coils, converting the high power PWM signals back into detailed and smooth analogue music.

  • The six-channel Gato Audio DPA-2506 - is a flexible solution that offers a variety of options and combinations with the number of power output channels. A feature of the amplifier is to use modern technology to build the Class-D output stages , which in combination with a bridge connecting channel enables the production of high output power with a compact and elegant design.

     


    Real power

    The Gato Audio DPA-2506 provides at least 6x250W under 8 Ohm load, and at 4 ohms the value of channel capacity doubles. Each pair of channels in the amplifier can be connected in a bridge circuit, allowing individually configured power for multi-channel systems, or bi-amping speakers. The most obvious candidate to work in conjunction with the DPA-2506 is the award winning Gato Audio PRD-3 pre amp/dac, but the new model can also accompany the DIA-250/400 integrated amplifier, offering more channels and flexibility in terms of channel capacity. In multichannel systems, the DPA-2506 can serve to enhance the surround sound processor signals, possibly in combination with the PRD-DIA-250/400 in "Home Theater" mode.

     


    Class-D with true analogue audio

    The DPA-2506 is a technically advanced solution in the form of Class D output stage with a separate power supply. The amplifying part is built on proven technology, with an optimized precision high-frequency generator and PWM modulator. Fast and accurate switching MOS-FET transistors have a very low on-state resistance, providing superior performance at high frequency with a minimal loss. Output filters on quality polypropylene capacitors and coils with low resistance convert powerful PWM signals back into analogue for an immersive detailed and textured sound.
